    Default Cruise Control problem

Anyone know what would cause my cruise control to work only a couple times a year? The previous owner said there was a way to get codes out of it by watching the light flash when you first start it up and that it was the module causing the problem but I am unable to confirm this.

Cruise control has some moving parts:

    - speedometer cable is fitted into a speed sensor mounted into the top of transmission. The sensor may have failed or falling or dirty or the pigtail is failing
    - vacuum hose to the accumulator (where the throttle cable is connected) is leaking
    - accumulator is leaking
    - throttle cable is binding

I'll check that speed sensor but I believe the rest of the system is electronic not vacuum controlled.

Oops, you have later version than mine. Toyota change CC mid way thru the generation. I have FSM for both and will check the later one.
