    Default what spring rates to pick?

    Hey guys, I'm upgrading my blown kyb gr2/eibach sportline lowering spring set up. I have done research and I'm set on buying BC coil-overs. During my research I read an old post by Luni with a link stating how much of a difference the swift spring upgrade on the BC coil-overs are and I too would also like to use swift springs. But to be honest I don't know anything about springs and rates. I don't race. just like boosting around town and curvy mountain roads. Can someone please help me pick a suitable spring rate?

    Just stick with the BC spring that come with the coils. They'll be fine for daily driving and some autox.

    Like they said, go with what BC suggests. I ordered them stiffer than they suggested when I was younger and stupider. I'm now swapping them out for what BC originally spec'd.

    I was shocked when I found out that my Stance coils for my GS400 came 18k(F) 12k (R), but they are suprisingly supple on road. I guess that what I get for comparing spring rates from a 3200lb Celica to a 4500lb GS....

    Shocks vs struts are a big factor.

    They use some of the parts on multiple vehicles (springs, dampers, etc) so if one part is out you're stuck waiting. On the plus side it keeps the cost down.
