Default Finally got my new bonnet hood from Pluto

3 months after ordering it. They did have to make it and ship it. So now that I have one I know how the holes work. Does anyone that has this style hood be willing to post pics of the apparatus that channels the outside air to the factory intercooler position? I just realized these hoods were probably only made for models with liquid intercoolers so ? might be moot but would still like to see it.

    Thanks,

Yup, designed for WTA intercoolers. Go front mount IC or do a 205 swap or a lot of part swapping to get the CS/205 WTA setup working.

You will also want to order a few of these http://www.rhdjapan.com/toyota-oem-w...celica-rc.html I am certain you can get them elsewhere, however, I don't have the part number (they are probably in a sticky somewhere here).

You will get massive heat soak with the factory ATA setup in that. That was designed for WTA as Marshall said. You can drive fine as is, but expect it to go into limp mode if you beat on it.

Thanks for the info. I did notice the nozzle difference right away. Didnt know about the WTA deal. What is easier to find and do? Big front intercooler or CS/205 WTA? Those big universal kits look expensive and Im sure finding a used WTA is nearly impossible. ?

OH, and I've tried to find answer for this various places. Do those big front intercoolers create a lot of lag with all the extra volume that has to be filled up?

A universal kit is a lot cheaper than sourcing parts for a wta setup.

It will have some lag for sure maybe 500 rpms or so but when boost hits you will forget all about it

I was just looking at the M-Spec kit on ebay for $280. Opinions?

I would run the OEM WTA intercooler with an aftermarket heatexchanger and pump. the FMIC is a pain to fit

This guy is selling a 205 intercooler that's modified to fit a 2nd Gen 3s.

Thought Maybe you would like this.

I checked alltrac.net and missed that so THANKS! hope the guy replies. I also looked at the universal WTA's and seems like they would be a way easier install then the FMIC. ? Technically speaking? Size and scopewise.

Piping on a universal might be just as tricky to set up. Not to mention size, hood clearance, and where you would mount it. Food for thought.

Hoses? You mean the intercooler couplers?
I think there is a little difference.

So with the WTA water pump I am guessing it needs to be wired to a key position ON power source and would run all the time? Correct? With a fuse of course.
