Default DSM 450 Injectors in 3SGTE?

Theyre 450s, ours are 440s, thats 40cc more fuel overall. Thats a mild upgrade. They are both low impedance.

You guys think theyd work? Seems like one could run 300hp or so on them with the right tune. Anyone heard of using them on our motors?

It would give you a *slight* advantage over the stock injectors for sure. According to my calculations:

    440cc/min = 41.9 lb/hr
    450cc/min = 42.857 lb/hr

If we COMMONLY see 275whp as the limit of the stock injectors at STOCK fuel pressure at 100% duty cycle:

    41.9 x 100% / (BSFC x correction factor for whp to bhp) = 275 whp

    BSFC x correction factor = 0.1523636

    Therefore,

    42.857 x 100% / 0.1523636 = 281.3 whp

So you can basically get another 6 whp out of them for any given fuel pressure.

It's something, not enough to call a major upgrade, but if you are right on the edge looking for just a little more room, they might work well for that.

Are they top feed or side feed? Will they fit nicely in the stock rail?

And fyi, I had my stock injectors flow tested and they can in between 442cc/min and 444cc/min after cleaning, so individual injectors will vary depending on age, health, etc.

There's no point. Plus, they are top feed, and you need side feed, no?

On a stock ECU why bother ? if you want to upgrade your injectors - try fitting USDM 540 CC supra items from the JZA80

they are also found in the St205

seeing gen2 ones are sidefeed - these plug in without need for modification - this is what im doing on mine until a custom rail is requirred

add a standalone ecu or better management than stock of anyform and youll see a better overall result
