I own a 1990 celica gt hatchback and It has an intermittent starting problem.
Lately since I had the dristirbutor replaced it won't start sometimes. It turns over fine but won't ignite.
I wiggled all the electrical connections I could see when it won't start and it didn't make any difference.
If I leave it for 5 to 10 minutes then it starts ok.
Someone said it could be the main relay but after reading some posts I was informed that the accesories won't work if that is the case and they do work I think. I seem to remmber turning the fan off because it wouldn't start to save on the battery. I know as an electrical engineer that relays may stick, specially if the coil kickback shunt diode is not working.
Is there a way to check the relay easily?
Anyone have any idea why this would happen?
