    Default pulstar pulse plugs

    ok, so i was just reading one of my ricer mags(i like it for the articles i swear)and i saw this ad for something called the pulstar pulse plug....it claimed that it adds 11 hp over regular platinum plugs... what do you guys think about this? has anybody used them? im not gonna go get a set but i was just wondering if anybody on here knows anything about them.

    That claim is true, by the way.

    If you have a VQ35.

    No clue what it would do with a 5sfe or something similar.

    If it added 11hp to our cars, then it would be worth the money. But i HIGHLY doubt it'll add more than 3-4, if anything. And that's not worth the money, unfortunately.

    Interesting but I'll stick to my cheap NGK V-Power coppers. Like ciento said the gain will be minimal, or non-existent.

    I fail to see how paying $15 a plug for spark plugs is even considered an option.

    I don't spend $15 a year in spark plugs, much less a piece.

    my subaru plugs are 13 dollars a pop
    94 camry base 5speed, oil pump exploded
    87 yota truck, it runs, it's in beater phase but it's been mobile.
    85 celica gt-s @311k...22RTE will 2016 be the year Joe fixes the 3rd gen

    yeah they are factory plugs i got from napa, not the dealer, napa, yes exact same factory ngk plugs

    Just curious, is it hard to replace the plugs on those motors? My friend has a 2.0 WRX and he doesn't want to do them, he said the people on the boards said it was a PITA. It made me that he replaced the entire turbo back exhaust + up pipe, and dropped the tranny and changed the clutch but he's afraid to tackle some spark plugs.

    i've re-visited the idea of the Pulstar plugs.

    on the 'sparkplugs.com' website, it lists the BE1 plug (for all 3s, and most likely 5s, applications) for $12.95 each. i'm curious if 'sparkplugs.com' receieved a bit of a kickback for doing the article/pdf, or if was a true and honest test.

    it is nice that they show only minor (realistic) improvements on the b18, and not WHOPPING HP increases across the board.

    i read an article a while back that said the pulse plugs are not any better then the cheaper premium plugs, also the pulse plugs do have different levels to their plugs( copper-platinum-iridium). i thought about trying the iridium ones, i can get them for $15 for a 2 pack, but i have not decided yet.

    A friend of mine bought those for his h22 civic (195 hp) and riding in it, you can tell it idled better and got better mpg but didnt feel like any hp gains, unless you use them in a like a v8 or something i dunno if you will see gains especially with a 5sfe

    Bull fucking shit. Spark plugs don't make power. An msd box doesn't make power. A hot coil doesn't make power.

    If you are running nitrous or lots of boost or very high compression then I can see getting an msd. But these plugs are most likely a sham. Something like nology wires I'm assuming. Unless you are really modified just get the plugs from the dealer.
