Default How To: Motor mount removal

    Start with a 7th gen.

Step 1: Jack up the car on both sides in he front pretty high.

Step 2: Remove driver side wheel and remove Transmission splash guard. 21mm, 10mm, philips and pliers

Step 3: Remove rear motor mount through bolt. 17mm and long extensions

Step 4: Remove parallel front crossmember bolts (2) . 14mm

Step 5: Remove rear motor mount lower bolts and parallel rear bolts (6) 14mm

Step 6: Remove front motor mount through bolt. 14mm

Step 7: Remove the 4 subframe bolts. 19mm

Step 8: Remove transmission motor mount bracket. (3) 14mm

Step 9: Remove the vibration dampener off the top of the motor mount. 10mm

Step 10: Remove parallel crossmember. Wiggle motor mount out.

Step 11: Cry that your rear mount is ripped.

-Re-installation is kinda like removal except for a few things ill mention here.

-Put motor mount up in the hole and put dampener back on.

    -Install Trans bracket.

-Put parallel member through the motor mount stud and into the subframe.

-Jack the subframe up so the mount will go onto the subframe.

-Pry the subframe forward with a screwdriver in the back corners.

-Install the rear motor mount through bolt.

-Now put the rest of the stuff back on and tighten everything up.

This thread is gayer than Richard Simmons singing a duet with Elton John in a bath house.
