    Default Non-functioning cruise control?

I turn the cruise control on, and nothing happens. However, if I press the 'set' button 4 or 5 times quickly, the cruise control light will start flashing. What is it trying to tell me?

Mine won't even get that far, it simply won't function. I don't find it all that necessary anyway, but it would be nice to have.

    Hey infinitrium,

It's most likely your speed sensor.

Mine crapped out on me about a year or two after I got my car.

It's located on the transmission. - It's one of the first jobs
I did on my own. Pretty easy!

And for this part I'd recommend goin' to the junkers.
But you'll probably have to have it shipped from somewhere.
    Doubt you'll find one here.

Check with Jeremy here or at 4gcelica.net - he's always
    got shitloads of stuff.

Sounds like a job for me to tackle when I change the tranny fluid. How much are these new?

    Probably $100-$200.

    Remember - I can't guarantee that's the prob though.
    Just my guess.

Tells ya' how to test the speed sensor in my Chilton's.
Do you have a tech manual? - Gotta have one!

They've both got their ups and downs.

    Haynes is good for pictures.
I think Chilten's tends to be more verbal.
    Either will do the trick!

Okay, this is going to sound odd.. but check your taillight grounds. If ONE of them is bad, you won't have cruise control. Shit used to happen to me all the time. That's more likely than what Mike suggested.
