    Default What should I check v.battery connection test

    I was supposed to do this last weekend, but I had other obligations come up (read as forgot I was going to be laying brick and was too tired afterwards).

    Anyway tomorrow I'll have another set of hands present so I can do this a bit more safely. I want to connect the battery in the cargo area, and then turn the key to the 'on' position to verify I have power where I should have power (NOT going to try to start the engine, just to 'on').

    I'm planning on checking for 12v power at the alternator and starter to verify my connections there are functional, and check all the normal shit (lights/turn signals/etc). Also going to get to see how my boost gauge looks

    Where else should I check for voltage? Is there anything else I should check out while I'm testing this?

    Just double check any connections you may have in the engine bay for excess heat and stuff like that. Other than that, go for it.
