So, living on Route 66 has it's perks. I didn't have a camera 3 years ago for the sidewalk chalk festival they have going on in Pasadena, but I did this time. Some decent classic cars, there were more the last few times, as the focus has slowly shifted toward Guinness World Record breaking chalk murals. Anywho, here is my fun from this weekend.

Just some extra info, being that this was father's day, I photographed 2 of my dad's favorite cars.

He used to have a 70' Nova like the one pictured before my uncle rolled it after a night of drinking. Another reason to hate DD, that was supposed to be mine...

Also, he loves pretty much all things Corvairs. I was impressed to actually see one. Unfortunately, the owner was a Wilford Brimley wannabe who refused to show me the flat 6 I could see sparkling through the vents. Enjoy breaking your horse's back you overweight geriatric.

The last photos were taken on a night drive of the Angeles Crest Highway. We tried a week ago to get up to Route 2, but it is still closed in La Caņada. So this past weekend we drove out toward Palmdale to try Big Tunjunga Canyon Road. Our end was closed, so next weekend, we'll try from the East end out in Victorville. Beautiful drive, judging it for whether it's worth a meet.
