    Default ATS CT26 Turbocharger Upgrade

    Has anyone done this? Did it make a big difference? Worth it over buying a new turbo?

    What are your performance goals?

    If you're rebuilding your engine right now, I'd put a bit more money into it, and get a bigger/better turbo.

    CT26 isn't a bad turbo, but it's not a huge upgrade from the CT20B.

    Depends on power goals. Although I would just upgrade to a 27 or a 20b for modest future power goals.

    This has been the best and most frustrating experience of my life. I thank my dad for all the help he has given me in this rare restoration. Now that the car is done, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

    CT27 = Modded CT26 slightly better than CT20B.

    Currently I'm running a .50 trim CT26, a little slower boost, stronger pull up top but it still dies out at high rpms.

    If your current turbo is working well just keep it and save for something bigger and better.
