So I am swapping out transmissions because after just 145K miles my first one crapped out on me. I have every part swapped to the new one except the vehicle speed sensor. I unbolted and unscrewed everything from the black piece and when I tried to pry it up, the black part snapped off and the rest of it stayed inside the old transmission. They told me at AutoZone that retail on this part is $183. I am going to go to a junk yard to get one off of another Celica but I want to make sure that I am doing everything right. How do I get the vehicle speed sensor off of the transmission without breaking another one. Was I doing it right the first time and it was just corroded in there or what?
