    Default 4th gen 3S-GE with 3rd Gen 3S-GTE Internals

Hi guys this is my first post.

I just wanted to know if i could use the Rods and Pistons from a 3rd Gen 3S-GTE in a 4th Gen 3S-GE Beams (Altezza Engine), also could I use the crank or would the stock crank be good enough?

I was thinking of using a Toda kit but i dont think it comes with rods and I dont think the stroker kit is worth the extra 200cc plus its way too pricey.

    Thanks

why would you want to ruin a perfectly good beams NA motor?

just because you want to be "different". Why not just take that mentality a couple steps forward and get yourself a Pontiac Aztek?

As long as he builds it right, he's not ruining it....
You can only run so much boost on high C:R.

I'm sure the parts would work, but all you would really need is lower C:R pistons.....
Which you can get aftermarket that will be stronger.

And if you ever want to get rid of that head I'll take it.

I was thinking of just buying some Aftermarket Low CR Pistons like JE, and installing them on the beams.

In case you havent guessed I want to turbo it.

BTW: If I bought the 87mm pistons what will I have to do to make them fit?

How much HP can the stock crank take?
Would an Aftermarket 5SFE Crank be able to up the Displacment?

8.0:1? Why don't you contact the guys selling it and ask them?

More than you are going to have in the engine most likely. Quite a bit.

You mean a stock 5SFE crank?
    Yes it will. Longer stroke.

After doing some research I found out that the 5sfe crank would have to be machined for the 3S rods to fit and the flywheel might be different plus the crank might not be as strong, and after reading the info on this site ( http://gt4dreams.free.fr/rip/3sgteinfo.htm ) I figured it isn't worth the extra headache. Ill just get some Low CR Pistons and Rods.

Also I saw some of the pistons come in 86.5mm will these fit in the Beams Engine without having to bore it?

no stock bore is 86mm youll have to bore it. no matter what pinstons you put in it will need to be re-hone it. not honing is a bad idea

    Thanks for the replies guys.

What else would I need, engine wise? (Head Bolts, Gasket etc.)

EDIT: Would these bolts work on a Beams Engine? http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/produ...D=20978&CtgID=
