"This is an O.E. Replacement. .273" Intake cam lift, all durations measured at .050", 196 degree intake duration. We do have the Exhaust camshaft in our store. The item number is 7927889273, The cam number is 229-2339"

I looked up the other item they list and i got this :

NOTE: .299 EXHAUST CAM LIFT 209 DEGREE EXHAUST DURATION.

don't know if i believe this ... if i do then this says the 4a and 5s/3s heads share the same cylinder spacing ? dunno really what to think...

I called webcamshafts.com to ask some questions... here is what I got.

The 5S-FE has three lobe prifiles that they have seen.

    1993 MR2:
    Intake: lift = 0.319" duration @.050" = 194 deg
    Exhaust: lift = 0.319" duration @.050" = 200 deg

    1991 Celica
    Intake: lift = 0.290" duration @.050" = 202 deg
    Exhaust: lift = 0.300" duration @.050" = 210 deg

Another 1993 engine not sure of the car.
    Intake: lift = 0.319" duration @.050" = 200 deg
    Exhaust: lift = 0.319" duration @.050" = 200 deg

This would explain some of the different horse power numbers seen over the years. They also carry a grind for our car if someone wants to turbo their 5S-FE.

I would think that the 3S-FE and the 5S-FE heads are almost identical. Now the 4A-FE... I wonder about that, I would need to see the heads apart to confirm if they heads are that similar.
