Hi all,
My name is Simon, I'm from Australia. Not sure where this site is based?
I have a TA22 GT Celica fitted with a modified 3T GTE.
I stumbled across this site, my cars and other info can be found on my own site if anyone is interested, "Classic Celicas and more".
http://users.chariot.net.au/~stmezz/celica.htm

For now, here is a pic of my car.

BEAUTIFUL cars! It's great having more and more owners of oldschool Celicas join up. Welcome to the board, Simon.

Also, how much power are you making with that 3TGTE?

Thanks guys,
The dark blue one is my baby, its great fun to drive. The 3T GTE has around 85kw at the rear wheels stock. I've done a few mods and currently have 145kw at the wheels.
Still have more changes to come and aiming for around the 180kw mark.

Full details of the build are on my site. I completely built this car myself, the only time its been in a workshop is for the final dyno tune. I did everything from the bodywork and painting to the engine rebuild, electrics etc etc, its made it a very satisfying job. Took me just on 5 years to build.
Being a GT it has some very cool gear as well like factory power windows, oil temperature gauge, OK Monitor and much more.
The seats are Recaro leather and some of the mechanical mods include a Supra 5 speed box, TRD LSD and 4 wheels disc brakes.

The car was in Fast Fours (An Aussie magazine), the article is also on my site.

Cya,
Simon

Holy moley! How much is 145kw converted into hp? Very beutiful cars you have there.

GT4SOM,
1HP = 0.746Kw, so my car has 195hp at the wheels.

MoralWarfare,
The heat shield is made in Australia for our harsh conditions. Its 2 thin sheets of alloy that have a ceramic sheet inbetween them. It works great. I also have my exhaust, dump pipe and turbo snail ceramic coated but I still found the engine bay was getting too hot. So this heat shield has now fixed the heat issue.
Theres not alot of room in the TA22 engine bay for a turbo etc. and fairly limited air flow.

Simon

I'm currently making a custom plenum and crank angle sensor to see if I can get a few more HP at the wheels.
Then this baby is gonna be even more fun to drive....

Simon
