SCC reports that it will have a 2.3L turbo 4 making 256hp, a six speed manual, and all wheel drive. body rigidity increased 50% 0-62mph in 6.6sec

Even Mazda is jumping in on the turbo AWD 4-cylinder craze. It's about time Toyota makes its comeback :(

But I do like the 6's, they're very sexy.

6.6 seconds?

That is slow.

with those numbers and that time that thing must weight quite a bit

Yeah... It will never compete in its niche if it isnt at least a full second quicker to 60.

Shit my MR2 will wape the walls with its fat ass if thats how slow it is.

Hmm thats cool. I love the look onthe 6's. Toyota better hop on this band wagon. Make something decent performance wise.

This is almost for sure going to be the same 2.3L engine that they already use in the car (4cyl trim), with a turbo. Keep in mind that this is the same engine used in the top trim GT Mazda 3, which is much lighter and compact.

256hp in the Mazda 3 would make it a fricken rocket. :bigthumbu

well if toyota ever goes and makes a performace camry, or a corolla with balls then toyota would be up to par

I've been watching this thing for a while, only problem with it that I've seen is the split on the AWD system. It can go from 100:0 F/R to 50:50 F/R. Can't send more then 50% torque to rear wheels.

I thought the new 6 was coming out with 276 hp the last I read about it.
