Hey guys, i needed a bike rack on my Celica but i didn't want to buy one so... with dad's help (was a welder), we fabricated one, not perfect but still nice and strong. Currently painting it and have to install the cushions to protect the bike, i'll post pics later.

No modifications to the car for it to fit. Bolts in the 2 pre-tapped holes in the back under-bumber and on the 2 towing rings. :bigthumbu

Now i can bring my bike anywhere. :wiggle:

too much humidity to finish the paint on it, i still have to stick on the cushions too. Probably tonight but i'm not sure. Tomorrow at last.

Done. :wiggle:
I should have painted it black, the silver paint reacts with skin's natural oil. :(

I don't have the sizes, it's custom for my bike. If someone you know can weld and fabricate, it took 2 days (or 1 work day) to do this one, look at pics and adjust for your car. Eventually i could post measures.

looks awesome man, I need to do that for my car, u used the tow hooks on the back to support it to correct, that way you can remove it?

I really need one of those, looks sweet :bigthumbu :bigthumbu

Edit: what you ride?

You can use both towing hooks AND look under your bumper, toward the center, there are two pre-drilled-and-tapped holes, I use both too. My bottom tubing is a little bent, but wtf, i don,t care as long as the bike hold in place. ;)

My ride is a "Oryx Sport 1000", made in Quebec. Mechanic is Shimano Acera. 4ryx brakes (V-Brakes). Rock Shock Jett front end. Not a high-end bike, not a shitty one either, let's just say I don't let it unlocked anywhere... ;)

Congrats to you and your dad! Looks like it's well engineered and constructed. I really like the idea of the custom installation using the car's own "hanging points." Eliminates the usual straps and hooks that are always coming loose. Maybe you could mark up the photos or make up an engineering drawing showing exact dimensions to allow replication by those so interested (or maybe you want to get into the eBay custom-bike-rack-business?).

I'll see. Doing plans for others would be nice.
It'll have to be later though. No comp for a while in 2 weeks. :(

Nice bike man. I'll be looking into a full suspension for my next one. Will be much funnier for the Rockies. :hehe:

Hey psyko, you know if i can adjust my suspension by hand on my Pilot SLs? I think I can let air out, but I don't want to fuck shit up. I need it softer as i'm doing rough shit now instead of hardpack.
