Yeah thats right. I just won this ebay auction like 2 minutes ago. I was in the market for a beater but I found this car on ebay and its not so far from my house. I figure I'll go and take a look at it before I buy it. The guy says it was rebuilt. I just need a car the will take me to work and back because the 5s is having some issues. :thumbsdow Heres the link.
It's really more of a project car but my main priority is that it gets me to where i have to go. I'm so happy! I can't wait till I go see it.

Awesome buy, even though it's not a REAL Hachiroku.

So when do you pick it up? Call me when you wanna rip the 5S outta the Celica :D

i'm about to pick one up but a real one for under 500 with the 4 lug celica supra wheels...lol just needs a rack...

I think it will be well worth the money. Honestly I don't know where you can find one under a grand with out any major body damage/rust. Rust is the biggest enemy for the unibody. Even though this one has a 4ac motor in it, its still cool. I just need to get to work, I have been bumming rides for the past 2 weeks. It blows! After I get the swap done on the celica, I might just attempt a 4age swap on this one. I know alot of people here in tampa that drive 86's.

what was the difference between the sr5 and the gts besides the engine....

isn't the chasis a lil different?

LSD. rear disks. probebly tranny gearing

they sell in uk for $300. good project car, would a gen 3 celica 2ltr engine fit?

Thats pretty much the only difference between them. Maybe the tail lights. The Us 4age is nothing impressive. I'd like to put a silvertop on this one. Make it my daily driver while my celica is my weekend warrior. I'm not too sure on what motors can go in. I know I've seen some 3sgte put into it. I bet it huals major ass.

Remember the 4AGZE-powered 86 we saw at XAT during the meet? That was sex on wheels.

I think you should build a hybrid: 7AFE block w/ custom rods and pistons, 4AGE 20V head, blacktop MAP sensor swap, custom plenum to encase the ITB's, and a T25 turbo. Having one of those in an 86 is my dream..

EDIT: And yes, this setup has been done in a 6G Celica. There's pics on the 6gc.net board somewhere. I was nearly jerking off in the back of the lecture hall when I saw it (cause who the hell really listens to what professors in gen ed courses talk about?).

Has that sounds too complex. If I do decide to boost on it I would go with a 4agte setup. Keep it simple and easy.
