I juswt completed mounting the S-53 transmission and the 5S-FE engine that I rebuilt and just wanted to share.
On another subject to help with the finishing of the rebuild does any know what the Font used for the "CELICA" and the "Convertible" script might be? I want to make a valve cover label in those fonts for a finishing touch.

WOW that looks nice.

Like, REALLY nice. And you've unknowingly helped me with a question I was
trying to figure out. I couldn't properly identify my transmission type based on
the appearance alone, but knowing that yours is an S-53, I can figure it out
pretty simply. Congrats. I'm a bit envious. I'm experimental as all get out
when it comes to interior changes, modifications, electrical, etc. But when it
comes to the stuff under the hood, I'm still a bit timid. Very nice work. It'll look
beautiful in the car. While you've got it out, might as well power wash the
engine compartment to complete the look!

As for the font, the best match I've found is Handel Gothic, but it seems to be
commercial in nature, so I'm still searching for a knock-off free font you can
use. I was pretty sure one of these celica sites had the font already...

Thanks Disco. I plan on making a replacement label strip for the valve cover out of either engraved lexan (don't know what the temp gets to) or milled out of an aluminum plate with sometihing like "CELICA Convertible" in the fonts used on the car so it goes with the model and everthing. I just think the toyota 2200 tag looks crappy. Besides the original was chipped and was going to be replaced.
