I have a 3sge motor, wiring harness, and computer from a sw-20 mr-2 1992 model. I am putting it in a 1992 gts to replace the 5sfe. I have all the wiring diagrams for the american models, but I can't seem to find the jdm spec mr-2 wiring anywhere. any help would be great.

By any chance, were you the one who won this auction?:

Back to topic, try looking at the wiring harness colors. Then check to see if they match up to the american model wiring diagrams. If they start matching up, then theres your source. It's the same thing that happened to me when I was doing my 3rd gen 3S-GE swap.

Despite the vast differences between the JDM, EDM and USDM celicas, Toyota was generally fairly good at making colors match. HOWEVER, since you got your engine from an MR-2, the colors might not match the wires in the Celica. I got my JDM mirrors from a celica (duh) but I got the relay from an MR-2. The wire colors are completely different from the colors normally found on the celica mirror relay, with the exception of the ground and power wires. The only reason I was able to figure it out was because the pin positioning on the MR-2 relay is the same as those from the Celica.

So it may be something like that, but if you can match up the harness terminals, you should be able to figure out the equivalent MR-2 to Celica colors, even if they're not the same. Eh, it might not actually be that simple, as I tend to oversimplify things, but it just might work!
