On the CAI , there is a small hole for the car's sensor. I notice many people have a 6 inch tube going from the CAI hole to the car's sensor. I plug the sensor directly into the CAI hole, instead of using the extension. Is there a benefit to each way ? I would think plugging it directly measures the air flowing more accurately.

Uh.. if your talking about the intake air temp sensor.. I would just have it directly in the pipe so that it gets air drawn past it.. so that way it can actually read the air temp.

K that's what I assumed ...maybe the extension's for people whose sensors can't reach the hole directly .

OR maybe they think it improves performance by having the air temp sensor read higher temps .. therefor running a leaner mixture!! lol :)
