PLEASE, Can some one help me?? I have a 94 ST and I have the St185 in and the wires extended, the only wires I am stuck on are the 3 Plugs under the dash that the ST has. I need help configuring the 2 (grey and White ST185 plugs) to the 3 under the ST dash!, I have look every were for the plug and wire diagrams, and in the BGB section (that donít work under wiring or donít work at all) I have tried the Toyota dealers around here and those butt heads wont give me a print out! I have read and flip flop thru this while site and can only find the print out on the ECU plugs and everything else but them . If anyone has a picture or what color goes to what please post!

I hope this makes since I was up till 3:30am last night and woke up at 7 am so I am TIRED.

Thanks

Need diagrams on both cars ST185 & 7AFE

I got the ECU pluged up, The 3 plugs are the little ones that plug into something under the dash (sorry cant remember what they are at this time running on fumes!!) They run right along the ECU wires.

For the starter?, Brake lights? So far I know that does not work? Fuel pump is hard wired. I am at work right now when I get home I will takie a picture of the 3 plugs and then the 2 off the ST185 harnes. That will make it easier.

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTU2NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D

Here is the 3SGTE 2 plug (the white and gray on the left of the picture)
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTUxNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTUzNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D

I am need the run down on these plugs so I can transfer the 3 and get rid of the 2 plug cause they will not plug into the boxs under the dash on the passanger side!

Ok here is the white plug off the ST it only has 3 wires
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTU0NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTU3NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D

and here is the 3SGTE white plug that is diff. and has 5 wires
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wOTcxNTUwNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wOTcxNTUyNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg

I need to do the same?? on these swap out the st and remove the one on the 3SGTE cause it will not work under the dash either!

If some one could help PLEASE I have gone thru ever wireing dig. and find the ECU pinouts but what about these?? Thanks

Sweet set up, I hope that motor mount works out for you.

Are you sure its strong enough ?

those diagrams are not going to help anyone wire up their swap.

twisted, the wiring for the 3s swap is a little complicated, but you seem to have the right idea. i am currenty talking with someone about posting a full how to for the 6th gen 3sgte swap wiring. it takes a lot of time to write it all out, so just bear with us and hopefully one of the sites members will come through with all the hard work he did (yes u dave!:) )

Lagos,

Can some one just give a run down on the wires and there colors? I can go from there. Just need the run down on the 7afe ST & st185 3SGTE. Thats all I need, I cant find them any where on the net and the BGB dont work in the parts a need.
PLEASE I BEGITH U lol

Yea, Its not welded or any of that, Its 1/4 Flat stock steel with 4 bolts holding it down. Sounds crazy but we have done the same thing on a 95 DSM AWD for the motor and JDM Galant VR4 Trans. SOLID MOUNTS hehe

Yea, Looks like it is going well, What did you do about the wireing under the dash or since you had the clip you used the 2 plugs under the dash and got rid of the 3 plugs that were stock?

I have alot of pictures so far, but was going to post when I was thru!!

its really not as simple as naming a few wires and colors. here is the basica idea tho....

you know how the st185 fuese box has 3 plugs on the bottom of it. you need to take those plugs and splice them into your stock fuse box.

on the interrior, you need to wire up the 3rd ecu plug and add in the 3 interrior plugs from your 7a harness.

its a lot of little wires going to different places and its even harder to try to walk someone through it. you can contact chrisD on this site. he does harness work for swapers in need.

twisted, im tellin you . its really not as simple as matching up a few colors or seeing a pic of the wiring. there are a lot of wires to modify

I know what you saying, I have about 4 different wiring Diagrams off the net and every one of them are different??? I just want to see what is close or right?? IF the DAME TOYOTA dealer would just print me what I want would make it a lot easier. All I know when this is done I am going to write all this up for others that might have this problem so yall can sticky it. Not hard headed just no nap and no sleep except the 3 hrs last night and the car is making me loose my paticats AAAAAAA

you can buy the books for the cars from your toyota dealer. ask them for the wiring electrical diagram books for the 3sgte year that you have and one for you car. i bought mine that way... i think we may have a few of the books in the online bgb secion too.

have the BGB wont work for me says error link not there????

Yea here in TX they are pround of those books try $150 a piece???

I am looking while I am typing I about to quite. Been stuck on this part for about 2 week no progress. I got everything else done in the 2 weeks before that

kept the awd trans its all mounted up, trans cooler, front mount intercooler off a srt-4 (painted black 2 hide it) all the intercooler pipeing, Apexi twin BOV, Apexi TT, boost controler, ect.................... (by the way what is the stock psi on the st185 and can it hold 18psi daly driving? or will it fuel cut) it has a Walbro 255 in it now so should be good?? FLAMS hehe
I had a srt-4 before this held spiking 20psi and holding at 18psi no problem

Lagos

you really should learn more about the motor before doing this type of project. you normally want to run the stock turbo anywhere around 10-15psi . 12psi is stock fuel cut, but you can defeate it.

using the awd tranny will only give you 50% of your power to the front wheels.

you need to learn the names of the plugs that you are looking for. sometimes it says it on the plug itself. then look up what wires go to that plug.

Hey man, a word of warning if you're using the awd tranny.
It's going to leak out the rear output shaft, and you're probably going to burn up the transfer case. That transmission is only supposed to run in 2wd on a dyno. Period.

I guess we'll find out. :D
Good luck with it.
IF it does work, it'll be a interesting option.....

But, don't forget the speedo will be half speed. And they reccommend only 3d gear and up for 2wd.

Whatever. I guess it's worth a shot. Just take a vid for us, when you first drive it. :D
