any intake is illegal besides CARB certified intakes (ex: Injen).

if the officer asks you to pop your hood... there's an extra $50 fine + reinstalling factory intake manifold + visiting the sheriff station smog official to get swap certified

However, not all jurisdictions enforce CARB, because not all jurisdictions are in California. Best answer -- check your local laws. Intakes aren't illegal in my neck of the woods to my knowledge, but finding out what is and isn't a legal modification around here is like pulling teeth -- takes a specialist to do it right.

I have an Iceman, and like it alot. Im sure its not THAT much better than other CAIs for our car.

They start emissions in tx on september 1st:ohnoes:

Oh, just go to toyotacelicaonline.com and look for Henry Vo's DIY intake under the modifications section -- or look farther down and find the one for building it out of exhaust piping. Either way, lot less money than the Iceman for the same result.

all depends on your state laws

Here we dont have emission testing. I have no cats or anything on my car :wiggle:
