I replied to an old thread in General Discussion. No replies so posting new thread.

EDIT: I'm guessing it would be easier going with another JDM ECU because of EGR? My engine is JDM and has no EGR.

Have to replace my ECU. Mine is 89661-2B280 which from my research is a 92 JDM.
I found one for sale that says its a 92 but its CND 89661-20760.

Comparing the pin out diagram I will have to move some pins but what about the missing or added pins? And the FC is on a completely different plug. Ugh!
Added:
EGR
TPC
STJ

Missing:
G-
ACT
CCO

Copying my response over from the other thread:

It looks like the G- moves plugs as well, and TPC just scoots over a few pins. I know a lot of people delete EGR so you should be able to get around that one. The rest I'm not sure what those abbreviations mean.

The ECM that expects EGR will run a lot of timing advance at some part throttle and part load conditions, expecting the inert gas from the EGR to prevent knocking. Without EGR in place, you can get detonation and engine damage.

It's starting to look like I don't need another ECU because JDM ECU did not control the cold start injector which is my problem. Even tho I did find someone with a matching ECU if I need it.

Cold start injector is controlled by the temperature-time switch on the water neck.
