Hey folks

I have an issue trying to get a modern stereo filled to my 1995 Celica 1.8.
The old huge tape deck came out ages ago. It has taken me this long to save up for a modern stereo.
I purchased wiring & facia but now realise that there is a large gap around the stereo to the edges of the hold.
Basejunkies on eBay said I need to contact Toyota to source a bracket but after several emails the chap seems to have given up as I guess it seems to difficult.

I'm desperate to source a original or generic bracket that can attach the stereo to the car.

Any help or advise welcome.

Thanks

I am constantly looking on eBay.
Does the part have a specific name or number?
Or is simply "Stereo bracket for 1995 celica" lol
Cheers.

If you want to retain the OEM mounting -- you'll need to find those brackets. A junkyard will be the best bet to find what you're looking for. There are aftermarket radio install kits that provide that additional mounting support similar to this here.

You'll just have to search for them. I found that just by searching '1995 Toyota Celica radio install kit'. Frys Electronics, Best Buy, etc typically have these kits in stock. Just make sure it offers that extra 2" or so of support and not just an empty slot. Those don't offer a lot of support and a hard hit will knock it lose.

Point still stands, I'm pretty sure a UK based retailer somewhere has the Fry's electronics style store around.
