Where di I check the fair market value of my 1990 celica gts. I thinking of donating it to get tax break. I was thinking of striping it a little but I was told if I take parts away, I won't be able to donate it. I want to donate it to a legit charity.

If you strip and sell they won't take it. Charities either fix and sell/give to someone in need or sell to scrapper.

The three cars I've donated have only netted me 500 bux a pop tax credits. They were whole cars but had issues (transmission, etc).

Unless it's in Princess level conditions I doubt you'll get more than 500 for donating it.

My 1991 Celica GTS just went for $400. Don't expect much more than scrap values. Loans on $35k vehicles are being handed out like candy to people with 0 credit. Used cars are bottoming out.

$500 is a realistic break on it. Most people don't donate nice cars.

I got $400 for a 2000 Explorer in mint shape, minus a thrown timing chain. It was otherwise clean and mint. I looked at donating it, but the loopholes were a joke and they wanted it delivered, at my cost, etc. I scrapped it.

Still makes me sick thinking about it to be honest. It was a damn nice truck.

Thank you for all the response. I won't strip it then so I will not have problem.

Stereo stuff you can take out no issue (minus head unit or put the stock one in there so it doesn't look shite.
