okay so i got an AFR gauge one of those that has the lil LED bars. im at like super lean could explain an issue with boosting ( no leaks seem present but wastegate is a suspect). my TB screw is almost shut about 1/4 of a turn open. my AFM is after market and has an adjustable screw to run lean and rich. if i completely close it it idles at 9.5k and reads lean with 1/4 turn on the tb screw. i opened the afm screw a bit more seems like i get slightly better readings. and about 8.5k at idle. im not sure if its because of my tvis system is gutted making it run lean from all the runners being opened. any ideas on what i could do?

Your tvis wouldn't effect anything unless it's sucking air in from where the shaft use to be, be the same as a vacuum leak. What do you mean idles at 9.5k? Your engine should never idle at 9500 rpm...

what kind of A/f gauge are you running? Only wideband is accurate. If it is a narrowband you just have a pretty light gauge.

i didn't mean what brand gauge you had. i meant how wide can the gauge read? 0-1 volts? or a wideband which is 0-5 volts. wideband gives you a much more accurate reading. since you are running lean though that would mean too much air and not enough fuel. since you have already tried to adjust the amount of air going in your issue could be with fuel delivery.
