So, who knows anything about 20Vs?

I understand the Silvertop is stronger, but the Blacktop is better? I am not sure I am willing to do buy a ST and swap it to BT electronics. That just seems like too much effort for a car that sees <500 miles a year.

What about the transmission? Electronics?

I will be searching on my own, but anyone that has any input is more than welcome to add to it.

Yes this would be for Chaos. No, I don't want a 3SGTE.

For those not in the know, Chaos is a mostly `90 Celica ST with her second 4AFE and a manual transmission swap. I think those are the only relevant things to swapping.

You need one of the old BMW 1.5lit engines they used in formula 1.1500hp . Just kidding brother, compare the availability of parts, cost, and go from there. I always wanted a 4agze setup but there is no way to do it over here.

You just get a complete engine on a pallet, then drop it in, run the harness like normal and there ya go. May need a different clutch to match the GE flywheel with your tranny but that I don't know. Can't be that hard.

Surely there are body harness changes. Not that I am really concerned about that. I will probably just center mount a monster tach where the gauge cluster is.

So, when are you going to come visit and see the new house?

6.8 L V10 2-valve is gonna be a tight fit but you do love the ford powerplants it seems.

I had a BT20V in my MK1 many moons ago. I'd recommend it, I used 5 speed that came with it, but if you can find one with a 6 speed, it apparently is like a second faster in the 1/4 mile.

Murg, text me. I swapped a silvertop into my corolla using blacktop electronics. I can answer your questions.
