In regards to connecting rod side clearance, what are the limits beyond the manufacturers specifications that can the be exceeded and if they are, what are the detriments or negatives that can be expected.
I'm looking at rods that are .035 narrower on the big end. I couldn't find any specs for tolerance and I don't have a 5sfe to check the clearances to see if it would be in tolerance with the narrower .035 on the big end.

If possible would I run the 5s rod bearings. I would be afraid the narrower bearings would walk to much.

That's... a tough question. I usually page Jeremy (Alltracman78) when I have a question that nobody should know off the top of their heads, but he does. I'll be honest, I have no idea. Do you have access to the BGB?
