Hey guys and gals,

Ctech leadership has been having some discussions regarding filling the moderator vacancy in our 7th gen forum since the esteemed Dr Paine is stepping down. The ideal candidate will be someone who is very active in the 7th gen community. By active, we mean someone who is active on other 7th gen sites, as well someone that can drum up some much needed traffic here. I don't think our lack of traffic has to do with what we as a site and member-base has to offer. We are just lacking traffic and interest in general.

With the recent fall of ecelica, we feel that this is an excellent opportunity for ctech to show off its functionality, great user base, and enthusiasm for all things Celica. Whoever is given this position will have a challenge to create some traffic and demonstrate that this forum has the ability to be attractive and beneficial to others in the 7th gen family.

Candidate must have a broad knowledge of 7th gens and be rather well know in the 7th gen community. Basically, you will have to work a little harder than most of the moderators here, because this is kind of similar to launching a new site. We are a new site, and our 7th gen forum has been the slowest to grow due to other sites being firmly established for a long time now. It will be very important to go about growing this forum in a nonabrasive or threatening way. We don't want to steal from or bash other sites. The more we can work together the better. We just want the opportunity to show what we've got to offer.

Any well-respected ecelica moderators are welcome to apply. We are very laid back, and drama is frowned upon. We have only banned one person since we started and would like to keep it that way. We promise you that you won't have to tolerate any of the drama that went on at ecelica. This place works as close to a democracy as you can get for a messageboard.

Anybody interested?

Would you be up to the tasks requested in my first post in this thread? The moderating part will be the easy stuff. We need someone willing to help grow this forum. If so, I think we have a place here for you. I will start a thread in the mod forum for appointment concensus.

As for the BGB, I will let Chris D know that it is not working.

I only have the 7th gen BGB in a ginormous PDF file which is too big for download here. We will get it online soon, I just need some time and some money for someone to pay for the access into Toyota's database.

:)

Sorry for the inconvenience. The more people bug me for stuff the quicker it will get done, so keep it up. :D

Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but the question is where were you a month ago when we were looking? Let's see what you have got. James D. backed up his claims. Nothing says were can't have another mod in place here. Read the position description, become involved in the board, and we can go from there.

Part/most of being a moderator is being active beforehand.

It isnt just showing up and asking for it.

Smaay youve been on here since jan 05 and you have 6 posts. That doesnt really tell us much good about your habits here.

The other requirement of becoming a mod will be generation of traffic to give people the ability to see that, hands down, we have the best technical minds at this site. :bigthumbu
