View Full Version : New rear lateral links and the car wants to almost fish tail

Question: Does anyone have the measurements of the 5th gen lateral links? I pulled mine out to later find someone had thrown away my arm #2. :11doh: I was still in the process of tearing it all down but the strut rods were like rust fused and it wouldn't budge so I decided to just try to put in the new adjustable arm #2. (I'm still pb blaster soaking it hoping it will release on the weekend.) Before my lateral links were thrown out, I was able to kinda match up my new arms and install them.

I figured my handling would at least be better with just the new arm #2's, but it is much worst. The play with the wheel (moving it left and right while lifted) is much less than with the old arms but the rear at times feels like it wants to fish tail when driving straight. It didn't have this issue before.. any ideas here?

Also my tires are new, only 500 miles in and tire pressure is optimal. Thanks!

Try getting an alignment.

Typically, when you touch either of those arms, you should get it aligned afterwards.

What year is your car and where did you get the rods from?

I'm stupid. Thanks! Alignment did the trick. T3 rods.
