Hey I am calling on all of my C.T. family fore there reference on a good JDM engine import company for a newer 3sgte. The Blue gave up the ghost today and developed a Rod knock. So I think I am going for the quick fix and get a engine from a good import company.

I purchased mine from here http://jspecauto.com/jdm-engines/146/toyota/JDM-3S,-5S-&-1MZ-Engine(s).

It was a little pricey but shipping was quick and they answer emails/phone calls pretty quickly. I haven't installed it yet but so far everything looks good.

I checked there site and they have no 88,89 3sgte. But thanks for your help Brother. I am trying to stay stock, if I can.

You may be hard pressed to find a 1st gen 3sgte.

When I purchased my 215 years ago I got it from Venus Auto in Sacramento. My next motor I'll either be getting from them, or JDM Engines Import Inc or Akina Motorsports locally here in Phoenix.

I mean if you really need a gen1 3SGTE, I will have one shortly. You can have it for free but you need to come to the PNW to pick it up. It leaks oil but good comp and no rod knock. 200k on it though :(

All I remember is I went with the second most expensive company and they sent me a 91 engine with a 92 ECU added like a month to my project. I recommend reading AS MANY 3rd party reviews as you can find. I'm glad I did because I think it's a craps shoot no matter who you order from.

The more I hear, the more I think I am going to do the rebuild.
