Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question but ...
As the title says, what is the difference between those 2 part numbers and which one do I want for my JDM 1990 3S-GTE engine in the car in signature picture??

In case I got the part numbers wrong, it should be a CT26 turbo for a '90 GT-Four.

Thanks for the help.

Im pretty sure one is for a ceramic turbine and the other is for inconel turbine.

Ahh ok that might make sense. the side of my car says Ceramic Turbo, so which model number is that (any one I have found doesn't specify what materials used)?
Or does it matter what version I put in?

Have you tried posting your question in the Lithia subforum with those part numbers? Might be worth a shot for verification.

You can put in any twin entry 26 from an MR2 or Alltrac, just the ceramic ones die faster, but spool better.

Honestly, Id use this excuse to upgrade your turbo at least to CT20b size. Theyre relatively cheap and they bolt right in (cheap being ~500 or less)

I have always been toying with the idea about putting a 20b in but I can get this 26 for pretty damn cheap. Also it is now my garage queen car (nice weather, no snow) as I just bought a new 300C (not my first choice but if I bought a sports car I had to get rid of the GT4).
Thanks for help guys.

I mean what else could be the problem if the turbo is blowing oil straight through the intercooler into the manifold??
(I'm no mechanic but I figure the bushings have finally let go inside the turbo)

Install a catch can and see if it isnt the PCV blowing oil into the turbo getting blown into the intercooler.

Thanks for the suggestion, it's a lot of oil, at least to me it looks like a lot. It looks like a little stream about 1/4" wide going in and pretty much the exact same thing going out.
The car has never leaked like this before and just started about a year or two ago. I almost didn't pass emissions 2 years ago and I need to pass it again this year so I want to try and get this figured out.

2 silly questions:
What is the PCV (look like) and where does the catch can go in my car (pics if possible)? (remember ... not a mechanic, just a driver) :)

Thanks.

The PCV is a pipe in our cars, not a valve. Check the BGB for exact placement. There is a hose from it that routes into the intake pre-turbine.
Our cars did not come with a catch can. You would have to either make one or buy one and then install it yourself.
I did a write-up on making one. It is in the archives.

Awesome, thanks for the tip on what to look for.
I have been hitting the interwebs looking for pics and answers. I had an idea of what to look for until I ran in to a discussion that said our cars never had a PCV valve but looking at my engine I think I know what hose you are talking about.

Now if I pull it with the car on idle and put my finger on the end of it, I should get suction correct?

Exits top right side of the valve cover. About a 1/2 inch pipe. Goes to a hose then eventually into the intake. You'll have suction on the intake side and probably a little positive pressure from the engine. This is blow-by and would pressurize your block if it didn't vent. Basically air getting past the rings on the compression/firing stroke.

Cheap or not, once you go 20b you'll never go back. Worth every penny.

Difference between 74030 and 74060 is about 30. (sorry couldn't resist) :)

LOL thanks Cappy.
Does anyone have the part number of a CT20b for my car? I will check prices on what I can get one for.
Thanks again.

They usually go for about $500 if I remember what Luni told me correctly.

part number?
and its a direct bolt on for a twin entry ct26?

Luni

Why do you need a part number? You gonna try and buy a new one?

As far as I know, you CANT buy a new one. You buy a used one from a forum. You ask for a CT20b.

And yes, I told you already its direct bolt on. You pull 1 stud out of the downpipe side of the turbo cause the 20b has 7 and the 26 has 6. Thats the ONLY difference. It bolts RIGHT up.

Yes. Bolt on. It wouldn't have gone on Princess if it wasn't a perfect fit. ;)

Like Luni says remove one stud.
