This is for "The Black".
It has a 88 Celica GTS 3sge side feed intake that has had the TVIS plate removed and port matched to the head. The head has a three angle valve grind and is from the same Celica GTS 3sge engine. I have put this on a 88 3sgte short block with CP pistons and Engle Rods and balanced @5000 RPM. I am now trying to figure out how to hook every thing up from the mid intake to the side feed so to get this car running.
All help will be greatly accepted.
For instance, all the hose ports just under the side feed intake opening. I am at a complete lose on where does all those hoses to be hooked up there are coming from!

I tried to look it up in the BGB for you but all the picture links are broken. :( Sorry I can't be more help Jack but I don't own a BGB for the 4th gen.
I would assume the majority of the connections should be similar across the two generations though, so for the basics you could check the 5th gen BGB.

I have the BGB for the 88 All-Trac but my intake is fore a 88 GTS and there is no comparison between them.
Under the side feed intake port, there is about five places to connect vacuum hoses and even one up at the top on the left of the opening. I am at a loss and need help to get it straightened out.
If some one has both the manual's for the GT-S and the one also for the All-Trac, I believe that would help out a lot.

Hopefully this helps. Here's the OEM Toyota vacuum drawings from a parts manual.

This is the diagram for an 88 ST162 with the 3sge

Here's one for an 88 ST165.
