So Celica GTS was making mixture of squeak and now to me sounds like grinding. It wasn't the brakes.. so now I am thinking it could be the passenger side drive shaft. Had the car up on a car jack and the wheel wouldnt wiggle or anything so that's why I am thinking its the drive shaft. Anyone have an idea what it could be or heard of similar issue?

Does the noise change when you steer different directions? I'd suspect a wheel bearing but kind of hard to diagnose over the interweb.

No only when driving straight

So if you have side forces the noise goes away? Sounds as though wheel bearing is likely.

I have to agree with Joey. Check the wheel bearing.

An axle will normally make a popping sound when turning, not grinding when straight.

Yeah I gotta third what Joey said. I've had a bearing crap out a couple times. Not fun :(

When the bearing on mine when out it was making a roaring noise like a bad tire.

Yea it was the bearing. Chewed up the bearings inside like it was fun.
