whats this plug and why is it here? this 3sfe has beenin my family since new so we didnt put it there, wondering if its factory. cuz its leaking.

I have no idea but that is a weird place for something like that. It looks like it's supposed to be there based on the block casting. Almost looks like a sensor is supposed to go there. Maybe it's plugged here but used in another market or application. Strange.

Coolant bleed/drain.
Comes from the factory that way. Most engines do.
