View Full Version : Restoring a 92

So, I'm trying to restore my 92 Celica convertible. She's seen better days, but I don't want to get rid of her. I've sunk a lot of money into keeping her running over the years, so I'm not quite ready to part with her.
I had a 91 convertible parts car lined up for $600, everything I needed, but the guy flaked on me. Now I don't know what parts he still has or what I can get. If anyone can point me in the right direction to get what I need (without taking out a second or third mortgage) please let me know! Here's a list of what I need:

Four wheels, preferably OEM or 6th/7th gen OEM
Both front fenders
Bumper and support (preferably 92-93 with OEM fogs)
Trunk with hinges
Convertible top motor
At the very least, left rear mud guard, but I would love to get all four.

Mechanically she's great, '99 5SFE that I personally have only put about 2000 miles on, new clutch, transmission is in good shape, so if I can fix her up cosmetically I'll be a happy camper.

I have:
Both front vert fenders freshly and professionally painted (black)
Alltrac hood rust free and complete. (yeah, I'll want top dollar for that) I literally tossed in a dumpster the old hood. It was freshly painted too.
Bumper support (no skin)
Alltrac/GTS wheels in perfect condition.
Possibly hinges.

Shipping will suck. Might be better off driving here. Best I've done NYC to here was 13 hours.
Send me a PM.
