is it the same as the 6th gen wheel bearing??

I just find more 5th gens in the salvage yard and im spending too much money on the motor rtm so I want to see if I can pick up a cheap rear hub assembly from a 5th gen and slap it on my 94.

has anybody looked closely at the two? it doesn't look like they are

What year and model 6th Gen are you wanting to check compatibility on? I can cross reference what applies to your 6th Gen, but would need more information, or a VIN on your 6th Gen.

I have a 94 GT , has an S for the 4th digit of the VIN

everything ive looked at checking part numbers on line it doesn't seem to be the same. yet, the ST 6th gen seems to be the same part number even though mine is Disk and the ST is drum. I was hoping I could go into a salvage yard and swoop up an assembly with the bearing and spindle. just spent a bunch of money rebuilding a motor - need a cheap fix for this :)

4th digit VIN = S means the vehicle came with a 3S or 5S engine (typical of a GT). If the 4th digit = A, it would have been equipped with a 4A or 7A engine (typical of an ST).

A 1994 Celica GT coupe, US market, automatic, had the following rear hub & bearing assembly part numbers:

42410-20150 - Left
42410-20150 - Right

This part number (same on both sides) is unique to the 6th Gen Celica; however, both GT & ST models shared the exact same part number in the 6th Gen series.

Hope this helps.

thanks, that confirms what I had found comparing part numbers online. they just don't get as many 6th gens in the salvage yard and they get picked clean within 2 weeks.
