What clutch from Canada or USA can I use for a 92 JDM celica GTR. I don't want to order on eBay. I want to get it from an auto parts shop or Toyota dealer.. Thanks

No such thing as a celica GT-R

Maybe you mean a GT-FOUR (AWD, turbocharged)

In that case, a clutch for the same year of Celica Alltrac will fit perfectly, same car just LHD and USDM.

Actually, there is a Celica GT-R. It was Japan/Europe/Australia only, I believe. ST183. Four wheel steering, electric folding mirrors, 3SGE engine.

From Wikipedia (if you don't believe me) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Celica
ST183 4WS GT-R Liftback 4WS, FWD 3S-GE 121 kW (162 hp) @ 6800 rpm 191 Nm (142 lb-ft) @ 4800 rpm Japan 1970

The GT-R exists, and it was FWD with a 3SGE.

Are you agreeing with me, or just calling me stupid? Or both?

Maybe...

It is an old smiley from the days of yore.

Some folks are even so special they get their own smileys. :murg:

Ok guess I am wrong. Oops.

What transaxle came in the GT-R? If it is an E series then a 3SGTE clutch kit (for 5th gen alltrac) will work. If it is a S series then you will need a pressure plate for 3SGTE and friction disc for 5SFE.

I could be way off base here, but I believe that if you asked in the Lithia Toyota subforum here, they could get you the part numbers that would enable you to walk into a Toyota Dealer and order the parts. That is if your local Toyota Dealer can't find the part numbers for you.

The car is a Japanese 1992 celica gtr FWD with 3sge not turbo not four wheel steering. And Toyota dealers won't help me since it is a JDM version.

That'll be an ST182 then, the clutch is the same as any 01/1990-05/1995 TOYOTA MR2, 09/1989-07/1999 TOYOTA CELICA, 06/1991-07/1996 TOYOTA CAMRY with a 5SFE. The pressure plate (but not the disc) are also the same as the 08/1996-06/2001 TOYOTA CAMRY 06/1998-11/2002 TOYOTA SOLARA (also with the 5SFE). Throwout bearing is the same as all of the above + 08/1988-05/1991 TOYOTA CAMRY.

Talk to Lithia if you want to order it from a Toyota dealer instead of a regular parts shop, they'll save you money.
