View Full Version : Doing a Community Service-Access to Toyota Technical Information System

I got a subscription to this yesterday while trying to change the damn fog light house on the IS.

Anyway, I though I would do a community favor and put the login information. It's good till 11:59PM tomorrow night. This site is Toyota's. It has access to the service manuals, wiring manuals, service bulletins, recalls. One thing I found was that there was a TSB for the damn cupholder latch that replaced the latch. The part number shown in the bulletin is still good it looks like ( 5563132013 ). There's a tab where you can get some build info on your vehicle from the VIN. It's pretty sweet.

I don't know how many can be in one login at one time but give it a try and don't fuck my information up.

Have fun and enjoy. Hopefully this helps somebody.

Thank you, that was extremely helpful. I know know for certain that my alltrac is in fact a 93.

Chaos is 24 years old this month. My birthday month as well. Pretty nifty. She had a recall fix in `94, looks like she lived in Findlay Ohio at the time.

Annabelle turned 26 this year. There was a radiator & expansion tank recall that hasn't been performed....wonder if I can drag the car Toyota and have it done...

You're welcome. I had it so I thought I'd share.

There's some pretty interesting info available on the site. I've got the window sticker info for my All Trac from a guy on AT.net that worked at a dealer but I didn't have the delivery date. From the info on this site, it looks like mine set on the lot for close to a year. It was built in February of 92 but the in service date shows March of 93. The ridiculous price Toyota but on the All Tracs kind of explains why though. Mine stickered for over $27K. As of today, that's almost $46K, what my IS stickered.

You have to hunt around the site in some cases. The manuals, including the wiring manual are on there but you have to download a chapter at a time. There is also service training on there you can get to as well. I pulled down the alignment training. That was interesting. It's good to know that this available even if we have to pay for it.

I found that TSB on the cup holder to be interesting. It doesn't look like it got much use or the fix was just as crappy as the original.

If it was a recall you might be able to do that. Not sure if there's a statute of limitations or not. It would be worth checking.

Looks like mine was production 12/20/89 and first use was 3/22/90.
What's weird is everything pulls up as an alltrac except for drive type is says 2wd. What's with that?

Hrm...maybe I'll give it a whirl. Think it'll be done?

According to this, Blackhawk is listed with "Super White" as the color, with blue interior.

Toyota, you've got some inaccuracies.

I can see the service recall for the AC expansion valve was serviced nearly 20 years ago.

Thanks!

Also, I finally have the wiring diagrams and the 15 page service manual for repairing my Auto Tilt Steering.

2 years ago, it stopped being automatic. This week, I'm resurrecting it.

My advice to any of you, get on there while you can and if you don't do ANYTHING else, download that wiring book. I've got a print one and it is worth it's weight in gold. They are a little hard to find in the wild and when you do find them they're usually a little pricey.

Mike,

This actually turned into a much bigger help than I thought!

Turns out, the VIN listed on my insurance, is actually the VIN for my brother's car. Now I see why it's listed as "Super White" with "Blue Interior". I can now call my insurance and have them fix that problem.

The real VIN doesn't show anything. My car is Canadian, and I'll have to get records from a Canadian dealership.

Cool! Glad it could help. That could have turned into a big headache if something had happened I'm sure.

Yeah, especially with a CAN VIN. They need to have a photo of the VIN because it does not register under the US database. Got that faxed off to prevent any nightmare situations.
