Well Today the insurance went back on ma celica :) A little earlier then a normally would, But I got a new job that requires a lot of driving(like 1000km every week :loco:) soo time for the Celi to come out n stretch her legs :headbang:
And with all this driving, I figure it would be smart to put the spare back in.. so I stuffed a 205/60/15 in there (matches up nicely to my 215/45/17s )

and with a few tweaks of my wooden floor board she all fits back together nicely

I just removed my Hellas this week thanks to the ass who backed into me and damaged the mount. I have the switch in the same spot, linked to my highbeams.

A gentleman at Carquest told me I could upgrade the 55w bulbs to 100w. When I upgrade the mount, the lights will get a bump as well.

Looks great!

At least I'm not the only one driving around in a black GT-S from Ontario with Hellas on the front fascia!

Just make sure that they are properly aimed. Those things will blind an oncoming car otherwise. :)

Oh they'll defeintly get shut off with any oncoming traffic haha, only going to use them on wide open pitch black highways .... haha good to know Bandit

I know Celica drivers tend to be on the more courteous side of driving, but around here when I was younger, guys in their trucks used to use them as an always on with headlamps thing. Made driving at night absolutely shit.

Anyhow, car is looking good. I always loved the look of Hella lamps on the GT4's (or Celica's in general. Just always seemed a proper fit. :)

The covers stay on mine unless I'm in the desert or the mountains late at night. They're bright enough (pencil beam pattern) that I would likely cause a wreck. Occasionally they are used to inform the oncoming asshat, that his highbeams are on.

Well I finally was out late enough and found a dark road to test the Hellas .. And I must say. I'm
Disappointed haha , light output wasn't that impressive , guess I'll be upgrading to HIDs sooner then later haha .. Also found a small problem , the fact that I can see my lights .. There's a crazy backwards facing glare from the lights , nothing a piece of electrical tape around the outside of the glass won't fix. But still annoying

What is the beam pattern on the Hellas? You can bump up the wattage on the halogens to get brighter lights.

I have pencil beams, and they are more centered to avoid glare from the headlights. I get a solid 1200 feet of lit road.

Hella calls the Beam pattern "Driving" ...when shined against a wall or bush from far away its like a horizontal half moon ...Not to sure how far mine light up , Ill have to go out again and take more time and adjust things, ( I just quickly pulled off to a random road after hockey to see how it looked haha )

Well just finished my first 2000km round trip for work .. Celi did good , those lights saved my ass a couple times spotting moose and bears ... Didn't get the milage I was hopeing. I averaged 25mpg Crusien at between 100-140 km/hr for most of the 2000km

With air in my tires and conservative acceleration, I'm averaging right about 25-26mpg.
