View Full Version : Dry cell battery question

I have a TE72 Corolla and have a battery mounted in the hatch.

I am finally going to install a dry cell and just want to make sure one of these batteries would be fine.

This is a good weather car, so when winter hits the battery gets pulled and stored.

Thanks for any input.

Check out ballistic batteries. I run one in the race car and it's awesome.

Something like these?

Just trying to find something okay for use. I imagine the ones listed in the first post would be good, but just trying to get peoples knowledge.

Yup. I run the 12 cell and the car sits for long periods of time. Haven't had any issues. However, the only draw on the race car, when off, is the ecu.

Do you know what size/type of terminal adapters work with those batteries to use stock cables with?

I honestly can't remember. I think they're fairly generic terminal adapters. If I recall correctly mine were odyssey terminals. I think it's just a brass terminal mounted with an M6x1.5 or something like that.

I've got a Deka in the RC, it works great but I killed it once (old alarm sucking the life out of it without my knowledge) so now if it's gonna sit for more than a week I disconnect the ground and it's fine.

Yeah on any of the lithium based batteries you need to make sure that it never gets discharged all the way or it won't come back all the way ever again.
