I saw this topic on another board while looking for info on a Skoda. What cars do you secretly kind of like, even though you know as enthusiasts you probably shouldn't?

Two come to mind right off.

And this gets an honorable mention, because I was in the market for one until I found my Celica.

Same here, I test drove one ages ago and it was actually a damn nice car. The blind spot is massive though.

It's not a guilty pleasure to like the Ford GT.

I don't think an ST is a guilty pleasure. If it were sold with 4-doors in Aus it would be my next new car.

It's only a guilty pleasure for me due to my high dislike for Ford usually. But this little car is awesome. I may have to own one soonish as I'm looking for a more practical dd, aka 4 doors and still a blast to drive. Toyota doesn't offer anything I like anymore

The thread is titled guilty pleasures, not what's your favorite car, you senile old mountain cooter.

Because you can't read, this is your guilty pleasure, where you put more miles on the operator than the car:

I have a thing for early 90's turbo hatch cars with fugly interiors.

60's/70's muscle cars I guess... although that does not extend to having any real desire to own one. I did want to build a Ford Falcon with my dad before he died though, that would have been awesome.

After seeing my works Focus ST and Fiesta ST, I really like them both. The Focus a lot more than the Fiesta just due to the fact that the Fiesta is so damned small. Both are torquey as a motherfucker though. Our Focus when it was stock put down like 290ft/lb, and the Fiesta put down like 230ft/lb. Not bad at all coming from a 2.0L and a 1.6L.

That is a very clean Prelude. I always liked Preludes. If I had to get a front-drive coupe it would be a Prelude.

^ I daily drive my girlfriends at the moment and they're great cars, it feels surprisingly well balanced being FWD too.

It was a toss-up between a nice Prelude and my 7th gen when I picked 'er up. I don't regret my decision cause the 7th gen has been a hell of a car. Just the only difference was the 7th gen was in my price range.

I rode in a prelude once...I wasn't too impressed performance wise. They're slick looking cars though! They seem like a boat of a vehicle for having a 2.2 NA engine though...
