No worries man. We all love cars, so a little wait is worth it in my book.

Have you done any modifications to the car? How long have you owned it? Share with the class :D

the list of modifications is endless, I built it from scratch from a stock gt4 as a full house stage rally car and compete with it on a regular basis ,we have had numerous engine failures due to various issues most temperature related ,I have had it since 2010 but it took nearly 2 years to build before it did its 1st rally there are pictures on my company facebook page for the impatient ,,just search oms autocare on there

Thought about switching to a CS hood?

Looks gorgeous! :)

And as METDeath said, a CS hood may help a decent amount with under hood temps.

I have gone a different route than the cs bonnet and installed 2 extra vents in the low pressure area on the st185 bonnet which work very well ,when you come to a stop a heat haze can be seen rising from the vents which indicates just how well they work ,as a little test we covered the new vents with tissue and turned on the cooling fans ,the tissue blew off 2 feet in the air the cs bonnet is nowhere near as effective at getting the heat out as you think the main reason for the cs bonnet was the little blow hole which on a standard car is blanked anyway ,the purpose of which was to cool the cambelt due to tte having a few failures
mock up before fitting

and fitted also with the lamp pod on as I was doing a rallysprint 2 weeks ago which went into the dark

My understanding of the CS hood was that it was vented to cool the turbo, and the intake hole was for the alternator belt (heat damage in Africa).

I know on an NA car with the CS hood you can see heat escaping from the vent when stopped.

However, that's certainly a unique way to do it too. I'm guessing you're still using the top mount ATA inter cooler?

Man, what a sweet car!

I am really jealous of your racing experiances!

thanks for the kind comments guys
no actually front mounted intercooler ,its very busy at the front of the car what with the very large fmic ,mahoosive oil cooler ,gearbox oil cooler and fans
I have heard that about the little blow hole being for the alternator belt too ,but tte did use it for cambelt cooling ,alternator cooling was done via the ducting on the alternator I can check on whether they used any cooling for the alternator belt as I know 4 ex tte world rally technicians, having worked in the world rally championship myself ,

I still have to try and track down an alternator cooling duct and the lower bracket for it.
Great looking car though man, and wonderful that it gets used well and properly.
