This hose is looking pretty rough on my Celi, and I don't want it to blow out on me 'cause it's part of the brake system. Anybody know why it's like a $55 part? Would it be a really bad idea to replace it with generic hose of the correct diameter and length?

Thanks!

Part I'm talking about is is 44773F on the bottom half of this diagram:

You can use store bought hose just fine. Just make sure it's vac capable (reinforced so it won't collapse).

Thanks for the tip! Asked around in parts stores here, and nobody had vac hose in that diameter (9mm, 3/8" ID). Ordered some off a UK seller on eBay, though...
