There is a part that is on the water outlet with wires and hoses going to it. Mine have broken clean off and I looked in the haynes manual but can't seem to find anything on this part. So the question is what part is it and is it an easy fix? Thanks, Crystal

Best bet is to get to a junkyard and snag one. You won't be able to repair it.

If the part you are talking about is the one with the greenish-blue plastic head on it, that doesn't have any wires involved, just 2 vacuum hoses. It is a thermal vacuum switch used to activate your EVAP canister to draw fuel vapors out of it when the engine is sufficiently warmed up to do so. You will find a these easily in a salvage yard as many Toyota engines of the late 80's to mid 90's had these.

If you are talking about something that has wires going to it, then I'm not sure what you are referring to.

You are right, they are hoses. Thanks for the quick reply. What search phrases would I search to find this part on ebay. I seem to work the same hours that the salvage yards are open.

Pretty sure it is a TVSV (Thermal vacuum switching valve). If at all possible, it really is best to just go out to the yard to salvage one.
You could also try and post a WTB (Want to Buy) thread and see if one of the fellas here that go out to the yars semi regularly can grab one or two for you and ship them out your way.
Just a thought.

No problem. Also, I made a mistake, it is a BVSV (bimetal vacuum switching valve). So just edit your other post to reflect that if you don't mind. (or I can do it for you just let me know)

I think this is what you are looking for, if you wanted it from ebay. Make sure it looks exactly the same.

Yes, that is the one they need. Good find. :) Plastics on it don't have that off white sheen to them that indicates it being brittle either, so +1.
