View Full Version : What would it take to fix the IMG tag in the gallery so you can post it straight in without editing?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but everytime I use the img tag from our Gallery straight into a post, it doesn't work. The text for the tag show up on the screen. Here's what I get:

<img src="http://www.celicatech.com/gallery/files/6/7/9/1/wheels_painted_1.jpg" alt="wheels painted 1" />

From looking at pictures that actually work from the Gallery, it looks like the tag should have brackets around img ([img]), it should be a the beginning and end of the string and there should be no src= or any quotes. I tried to post the code that works for me but it keeps showing the picture instead of the code.

If I modify the tag to this format the picture shows up. Otherwise, just the tag code.

If I'm doing something wrong, let me know.

You copied the wrong link. That one is for HTML. Copy the BB Image code.

Remove the spaces between the URL and IMG tags, you get a clickable thumbnail to the full size.

Now if only my mechanical-chi is as good as my technology-chi I'd be OK.

OK, thanks. I had always used the IMG tag from linking from Photobucket.

If you want the picture to show up full size in the thread (instead of the clickable thumbnail), remove the "URL" brackets. You will see the "[IMG]" brackets in the middle of it. The field for it is the one that says "large image".
