View Full Version : What I did over the weekend

After hating the way they looked I finally got around to painting my wheels. I have a set of Konig wheels that I've never been really fond of and on top of that, it seems like every person here in San Antonio has these damn wheels.:cussing:

Anyway, here's what it looked like originally right after I put the wheels on the car.

Here's what it looks like now with the new suspension and the wheels painted.

I'm happy with it. I may have to paint some contrast on the center caps. This color looks about like what I have on my IS 350 Fsport. The caps on it are black. I'm going to drive for a while and then decide what I'm going to do.

Looks nice.

When did you buy the Lexus, I think I recall something about that, but I guess I missed when you went out and did it.

Paint with tires mounted? Or dismounted?

Looks good to me. It still looks a little odd without the rear spoiler.

I like the no spoiler.

I got the Lexus in August. We finally got the good lease deal through the copy that headquarters had always had. I got it for $490 a month through the program. They cover all maintenance including the wear items like brake pads and tires and the deal includes insurance. I just make the payment (payroll deducted), put gas in it and drive.

I painted them with the tires mounted. I used a tip I had in seen in a magazine, Modified I think, where you use a deck of playing cards around the rim to mask the tire. Worked really good.

Yeah, I like much better without lip spoiler.

Looks good man!
