I'd like to help, but don't know what model, year, and engine we are talking about here.

on the passenger end it splits into like 2 or 3 nipples for vacuum hoses, could it still be that ?

You have a Rev 1 5S-FE. I have a Rev 2 5S-FE. They may be different. On mine, on the passenger side (front side) of engine, one of the hoses that attaches to one of the metal pipes attaches to a nipple on the passenger end of the intake manifold. The other metal pipe hose connects to the A/C Idle Up VSV. Hope this helps you.

I may be mistaken (I'm about an hour and a half away from my Celica right now) but one of them is for the cruise control I believe.

EDIT: Nevermind, the CC nipple is not on the pipe. I didn't see you specify that.

There is a metal pipe in the back that connects to the Powersteering VSV. Could that be it?
