Drove the car into garage and ran great, changed knock sensor wire and car wont even idle or run. Just flutters and than will start to run great after playing with the throttle and than starts fluttering again. If I don't mess with the throttle to keep it running, it dies!
When putting new knock sensor wire insert into ECU plug I found another insert that was not all the way inserted into plug and pushed it in. Started car and that is when car started running this way. I undone the wire I found lose and car still run's bad!

Checked the water leak and it is coming from the water pump. So where can I get a new water pump along with a oil pump and timing belt plus tensioner wheel plus all the gaskets I will need?

Go on eBay and look for a high quality GMB or other Japanese manufacturer kit. They can be had for as little as $100 and work great.

Also, check continuity on those wires to make sure you don't have shorts anywhere.

After you removed that wire, did you reset the ECU?

If you can keep it alive playing with throttle sounds like a vac leak.

T.C.A. is just around the corner from me and that is where my car is at. He is doing most of the work on it for now, I just stand around and watch and give advice about what might be wrong.
But every suggestion so far has been good ones and helped out a lot.
Jer. squirted carb cleaner around a lot of different things one being the EGR valve and found that it was sucking air along with a few hoses. We have the car running almost at a 100%. We can still hear the sound of a air leak and will chase it down to where it is.
Is there any way of fixing the EGR valve?
Doowstados could tell me what the letters GMB stand for!!!?

Just replace it or remove it completely.

Don't use carb cleaner, get a propane torch and open the valve without lighting it.

Jer at T.C.A. found a new one at RockAuto for 140.00. I think I'll go with that and be done with it for another 200,000 miles. The OEM one cost over 200.00. They are proud of those.

GMB is a brand name. They are a Japanese manufacturer that makes high quality OEM spec parts.
